  • Two weeks had settled the chaos into a bizarre new normal. The magic, it turned out, was remarkably accommodating. Gina discovered that with a focused thought and a surge of that same possessive warmth, she could release Rupert. The sensation was like a key turning in a lock deep within her pelvis; with a soft, internal pop, the connection would sever. Rupert would stumble away from her, whole and separate, gasping as if coming up for air.

    He’d spent the first week of separation in a daze, wandering his sterile apartment, the silence feeling like a physical absence. The world was… distant. He missed the constant, warm pressure against his back, the feeling of being moved, of his needs being anticipated. He missed the deep, thrumming connection that made him feel… complete. So, when Gina had tentatively asked if he wanted to try "reconnecting," he’d agreed with an eagerness that surprised them both.

    Now, their days had a rhythm. This particular morning began with Gina standing before the floor-to-ceiling mirror in her renovated loft, Rupert pressed tightly against her front, his head resting between her breasts. They were connected, his body hers. A tailor, a remarkably unflappable woman named Beatrice who had seen it all, was kneeling before them with a tape measure.

    “And a little more room in the seat, you said?” Beatrice mumbled around a mouthful of pins, her hands expertly measuring the extraordinary curve of Gina’s rear.

    “Please,” Gina said, her voice a happy rumble. She flexed while Rupert’s arms, which were holding her waist, tightened in response. “We like to be active.”

    The result of Beatrice’s work was a masterpiece of functional fashion. That afternoon, Gina wore it for the first time: a matching outfit of iridescent blue Lycra. It was essentially a windbreaker jumpsuit, form-fitting and sleek, designed to accommodate their unique silhouette with a special boob window that Rupert looked out from. A single, humanesque silhouette was formed.

    Gina felt invincible in it. With Rupert connected, a solid, willing presence now held tightly against her, she laced up her 4 running shoes and hit the riverfront path. The fusion gave her run a powerful, unstoppable quality. Rupert’s legs moved in perfect sync with hers, their four legs pounding the pavement with a rhythm that was both alien and natural.
