Later that night, they’re catching up on an episode of One Piece when Lucas feels a sudden impulse to press the remote’s glowing red button. Within seconds, everything blurs, and both of them are violently sucked into the TV.
When they regain consciousness, Lucas’s living room is gone. Instead, they find themselves at a bustling port, standing on a boat—and inhabiting different, yet strangely familiar, bodies. It doesn’t take long for the truth to sink in: Lucas has somehow become Nami, while Emily has become Luffy. Even stranger, the mysterious remote is tucked safely into Lucas’s pocket.
Panicked, they try to use the remote to escape, only to discover that it’s on some kind of cooldown. With no way back and no idea how long the effect will last, Emily and Lucas are forced to remain trapped in the One Piece world—living as its characters for who knows how long.
The sun beat down on the cracked asphalt of the suburban cul-de-sac, turning the Saturday morning garage sale into a shimmering mirage of discarded memories. Emily nudged Lucas with her elbow, gesturing toward a folding table buried under a tangle of old cables and yellowed electronics manuals. “See anything cool, tech wizard?”
Lucas, ever the tinkerer, was already sifting through the box. “Mostly junk. VCR manuals from 1998. A busted graphing calculator.” His hand paused, fingers closing ar…
John and his friends were surprised the site actually worked, and their curiosity got the better of them. They had sex in every possible combination: mother and son, father and daughters, sisters and brother, mother and sister... lets just say that John and his friends became frequent users of the site, with the Drew family being their main hosts!
The air in my apartment was thick with exhaustion and the lingering stench of energy drinks. Finals had officially wrecked us—Kevin was sprawled across the couch like a corpse, James was rubbing his temples like he was trying to erase the last 72 hours from memory, and Steve and Russel were slumped on the floor, barely conscious.
Russel scrolled lazily through his phone before suddenly sitting up. "No way. You guys seeing this shit?" He turned the screen toward us, revealing a Reddit threa…
The hospital room was quiet, the only sound the steady, soft beep of the heart monitor. Jake Gardner lay still in the narrow bed, his own body a strange and distant shell. He wasn’t in it anymore. His consciousness floated, untethered, in a small, quivering puddle of violet slime that had oozed from his own limp penis and now pooled on the crisp white sheets.
He’d been walking home from the bar, a little after two, when the sky had flashed purple. Something small and hot had slammed into the b…

Rachel Smith came home from school exhausted. She did not want to think about going back to school for tomorrow, the tests she’d taken today alone had mentally drained her and going back tomorrow to finish the rest of them was not a pleasant thought. At least that would be their last day of testing for a while. I almost forgot Rachel thought as she plopped down onto the couch, I promised Elizabeth and Susan I'd check up on them.
Me: Hey all!
How were the tests?
Elizabeth: Ugh! …
The Collection of Hearts
Andrew settled into the worn leather armchair across from his sister Madison, the familiar creak of the furniture mingling with the soft patter of rain against the window. She cradled her mug of tea with both hands, watching him with undisguised curiosity.
"So you just... what, collect them?" Madison asked, a hint of amusement in her voice.
Andrew shook his head. "It's not collecting. It's saving. There's a difference."
"Okay, okay." She leaned forward. "So tell…
Daniel, a man living a solitary life in the mountain wilderness, witnesses a catastrophic event when a streak of violet light slams into the nearby ridge. Believing it to be a plane crash, his instincts drive him toward the impact site.
The silence of the mountains was Daniel’s only friend, until the sky tore open.
The sound wasn't a roar; it was a rhythmic, metallic shriek that vibrated the floorboards of his cabin. Daniel stood on his porch, a lukewarm beer in hand, watching a streak of violet-white light cut through the mist. It plummet like a plane falling from the sky. It skipped across the atmosphere before slamming into the ridge of Blackwood Peak with a thud that felt like a localized earthquake.
"Damn it," he whispe…

You were freaking out, some monster had replaced Sydney... and you're not sure what to do. There aren't any return flights until the end of the week, so you have to survive till then. You want to tell your friends about this, but would they even believe you?
-
My legs pumped furiously, sneakers slamming against the polished tile as I burst out of the mall's side entrance. Sweat plastered my hair to my forehead, the Rolex suddenly heavy as shackle iron around my wrist. Someone here still owns their flesh. Sydney’s furious snarl echoed in my skull. Fumbling for my phone, I jammed my thumb against the screen, pulling up the group chat. Breath ragged, I typed, hands shaking:
Jason: GUYS FOUND SYDNEY IN THE MALL SHE’S NOT HUMAN SHE WAS FUCKING SOME GUY WHO TALKED ABOUT “MEATSUITS” AND —
My thumb hovered over send. Panic warred with logic. Trisha would dismiss it as Nate-level horniness. Jade would ask if he tasted alien. Kaori would look disappointed. And Nate? Nate would believe every terrifying word. He’d burst into the mall demanding proof, shouting about extraterrestrial MILFs. He’d draw Sydney straight to us. Delete. Delete. DELETE. My apology to the mall floor felt like nothing compared to that raw, primal snarl. Instead, I sucked in a shaky breath and typed again, forcing my fingers steady.
Jason: Mall was… expensive. You guys find anything interesting out there?
The replies pinged back instantly, jarringly normal against the terror thumping in my chest.
Nate: OMFG yes. Met this SOUL-CRUSHINGLY hot South Korean baddie at the nude beach. Literally statuesque. She was admiring my tan lines (or lack thereof lol). Things escalated. FAST. In a cabana. But THEN this absolute beast shows up claiming to be her BF and tells me to STEP OFF. Talk about cock-blocked by the cosmos. Still, worth the view 😉
Kaori: NATHANIEL! That’s DISGUSTING! You let that poor girl cheat on her boyfriend?! Some people value loyalty, you baka no orokamono!
There was a pause, then another ping.
Kaori: But… my surf instructor did point out a dolphin following our board. It was cute. Very shiny.
Jade’s response wasn't text. It was a rapid-fire barrage – twelve photos filling the chat in quick succession. Close-ups of glistening Wagyu beef sliders, towering pastel-colored shaved ice mountains dusted with gold leaf, skewers of fire-kissed tropical fruits, and a platter of raw oysters bigger than my fist. Jade: Breakfast-Lunch-Post-Lunch-Pre-Dinner-Mid-Dinner-Snack 😎 I stared. Jade ate like a Viking warlord with a metabolic superpower. How she stayed a lean, lethal curve in that little black dress? Utterly unfair.
Trisha’s name popped up with a single checkmark – message seen. No typing dots. Nothing. Probably deep in some jungle ravine, sweating buckets under that complicated braid. No service. The thought should have been reassuring, a clean explanation. But Sydney’s red-trimmed eyes, scanning the darkness where I'd hidden, flickered against the cheerful banter on my screen. The sun beat down, but a shiver colder than the deepest ocean trench crawled up my spine. They were laughing about dolphins and oysters and near-naked encounters with beauty. And I? I was walking away from the mall with the sickening certainty that Spooky Island’s terrifying secret rested not in folklore, but in the sweat-slick skin of a Hollywood star grinding on a borrowed body. The Rolex suddenly felt less like treasure and more like a homing beacon.
Chapter 3 in Spooky Island Adventures
