At their head are your six officers, each a formidable woman in her own right.
Joan steps forward first, her blonde ponytail swaying as she delivers a crisp salute. "Knight Commander Daniel, reporting as ordered." Her voice is sharp, professional, but you notice her emerald eyes lingering just a second too long—whether in challenge or something else, you can't tell.
