- Overhaul of the referral system:
- You can now enter an author’s username on checkout to give that author a $5 credit. This was previously happening based on whether the new subscriber first came to the site landing on the author’s profile page or story. Both methods work now.
- The new subscriber also gets 50% off their first month if they credit an author / land from an author’s link in this way. The idea is this gives the author a reason to say “Enter my username for a 50% discount!”.
- The referral system is also now more visible!
- Writing Blitz program! Each month, a random 10% of authors with at least one active supporter will get all of their earnings (support + referral) doubled for the month, funded by Outfox. Take the opportunity to blitz! [Terms and conditions apply]
- Further major changes to the moderation system:
- Chats are now marked as mature or not mature. If a chat is mature, you can no longer have any underage characters, even in SFW scenes. If a chat is not mature, you can no longer have any explicit content. This change helps simplify the moderation significantly, and hopefully reduces the number of false positives that were occurring on innocent chats. This change only applies to new chats, existing chats will remain under the old rules (unless you set them to mature / not-mature).
- Significantly reduced noise around moderation issues. The system will flag some messages and delete them, and send you a notification when it happens, but it will no longer email unless your account is actually at risk. We expect many innocent messages to be flagged and removed, it shouldn’t be a big deal -- just rephrase and try again more carefully. If a chat is locked or you get an at risk email, then you know you have crossed a line and shouldn’t just retry.
- Image moderation and fallback / retry system upgraded, hopefully leading to fewer refusals for innocent requests.
- Recycling bin added. If you delete a chat, chapter, or adventure you can now restore them within 30 days (or permanently delete them) via the bin tab on your profile page.
- Lots of improvements to the efficiency and reliability of the AI system.
- Some UI improvements, UX improvements, new genre landing pages (mainly if you arrive via search). Improved analytics system.
