v3.0.0 released! This is a *major* version upgrade, combining several changes to the site structure, AI, and how chapters and stories work. Major Changes - The AI has been significantly upgraded. It should be capable of writing sensible stories for longer and a much higher quality than before. - The interface for the chapters has changed -- chapters are now broken into segments, which you can iterate on independent of the rest of the chapter and story. This lets the AI regenerate pieces of the chapter for you -- it's not quite perfect yet, but should continue to get better and better. - The process for creating chapters and stories has been revamped, and should be more intuitive now. Minor Changes - Stories and chapters now display if they have mature content, are recently updated, and are open or locked for public continuations. - Robustness to bugs and other issues has been improved significantly. - Subscription price for new subscribers has increased to $16/month. Existing subscribers keep their existing prices. - Formatting on chapters and stories has been standardised. - Inf scroll bug has been fixed. - Lots of other UI changes. It's not clear to me yet what form the UI should take, and what permissions should be reserved for authors vs readers vs contributors to stories. Thoughts here are welcome! I think letting authors control that for their stories is probably the best way? It's a bit incomplete here right now.
