Allan, a recent high school graduate, decides to go to a high school party in order to spend some more time with his friends before leaving out of state for college. Things become complicated when his friend's older sister comes along and the host decides to play seven minutes in heaven.
All characters are 18 or over. -
Allan was nervous as he and Kevin got ready for the party. This would be the first time he's ever been to one of these, and Kevin said a lot of students in their grade would be there. Especially since this would probably be the last time most of them would see each other.
I hope Kevin and I can manage to stay in touch at least, Allan thought, grabbing his phone from the charger, wouldn't be that hard, right? A simple text here and there, asking what's going on? How are you doing?
“Yo, Allan!” Kevin called as he barged into the room, “You almost done yet? The party's going to start soon!”
Kevin was, in many ways, the opposite of Allan. Outgoing, sociable, a bit of a mischievous streak to him. Whereas Allan was more introverted and preferred the company of books over people, especially people he just met, God knows he has no idea what to do then. Kevin was tall, with short brown hair and a more athletic build, whereas Allan was short, preferred his hair long, and was a bit too skinny for his liking. It came to surprise to most people, then, that Allan and Kevin have been friends ever since second grade.
Kevin just approached him one day on the playground and roped poor Allan into his schemes, the two had gotten into their fair share of trouble, but throughout their years, the two have stuck by each other through thick and thin.
Although Allan worried if that would be changing. He'd gotten a letter a few weeks ago that he'd been accepted into Vexen University which was out of state whereas Kevin elected to go to a local community College. Will we still be able to stay friends through this? Allan had heard numerous stories of friends who simply drifted apart over the years and, most of the time, physical distance was one of the main factors.
“Yo!” Kevin called, snapping Allan out of thoughts, “Earth to Allan, you there?”
“Oh, right,” Allan replied, shaking his head, “Yeah, I'm here. Sorry,” he adjusted the glasses on his head, “just thinking and all.”
“Pssh!” Kevin replied, “We already graduated! We don't have to think for the whole summer!”
Allan laughed as Kevin escorted both of them downstairs. Kevin's parents were gone on a trip today, which meant Allan and Kevin practically had the …
