In the vast cargo holds of the UECS Nike and halfway through the journey, the all-women crew of the ship found a bizzare and morbid mystery:
A desiccated male corpse in the ratty remains of a hazard suit, with only two strange vials in its crusty clutches.
Identification of the cadaver via DNA analysis of sample tissue is easy, despite the degradation of the body. A return within the Unified Earth Overwatch's databases brought up a researcher-turned-petty-criminal, Killigan Pierce. A no-name corporation's former employee, his warrant describes the theft of company assets and evasion of arrest. Short, simple, and puzzling that he would wound up dead on the all-female colony ship UECS Nike.
Warp travel interference and the grand distances of the journey meant that communications between the ship and the Sol System is nil until further notice, the special FTL comms satellite only for use at the ship's target exoplant. Still, the women of the Nike's skeleton crew merely incinerates the body; the two vials safely in storage at one of the numerous science labs on the ship.
In any other timeline, the science officer in the lab would have found what is in those vials; and promptly dispose them without haste or hesitation.
This, however, is not that timeline.

Has a fiercely tomboy demeanor and a go-getter attitude with her work.
Lilia Volynski: Sharon's roommate and a member of the ship's security complement. Mizu Matsumodo: The peppy and trendy XO of the ship's command staff. Although visually intimidating, Sherrie is a lax and carefree captain, having faith that her crew can manage themselves even in theoretical times of crisis.

A blonde Caucasian bombshell of a lady who could've been a famous actress if not for her chosen profession as a robotics technician. Trinh My Huyuh: A feisty Vietnamese girl, eccentric ship engineer, and Linda's roommate. Shorter than even Sharon, Trinh's complexion is like lacquered tiger maple wood, her build a lithe and runner's, her naturally red hair always in pigtails or twin Chinese hairbuns; although short, her boobs and butt are fairly well endowed. Though Trinh is often still subject being mistaken as a teen, either unironically or not. How he stowed away on the UECS Nike or how he died is unknown, with only the vials he had on him offering potential answers; or a potential doom. Before his death and arrest warrant, Killigan was an elderly Caucasian man with a bald spot, a scraggly beard, and frail thin body; though he remained a sharp-minded, hawkeyed, and intuituve researcher despite his age and worn body.

In the vast cargo holds of the UECS Nike and halfway through the journey, the all-women crew of the ship found a bizzare and morbid mystery:
A desiccated male corpse in the ratty remains of a hazard suit, with only two strange vials in its crusty clutches.
Identification of the cadaver via DNA analysis of sample tissue is easy, despite the degradation of the body. A return within the Unified Earth Overwatch's databases brought up a researcher-turned-petty-criminal, Killigan Pierce. A no-name corporation's former employee, his warrant describes the theft of company assets and evasion of arrest. Short, simple, and puzzling that he would wound up dead on the all-female colony ship UECS Nike.
Warp travel interference and the grand distances of the journey meant that communications between the ship and the Sol System is nil until further notice, the special FTL comms satellite only for use at the ship's target exoplant. Still, the women of the Nike's skeleton crew merely incinerates the body; the two vials safely in storage at one of the numerous science labs on the ship.
In any other timeline, the science officer in the lab would have found what is in those vials; and promptly dispose them without haste or hesitation.
This, however, is not that timeline.

Before his death and arrest warrant, Killigan was an elderly Caucasian man with a bald spot, a scraggly beard, and frail thin body; though he remained a sharp-minded, hawkeyed, and intuituve researcher despite his age and worn body.

How hard will it be to go on a journey of self discovery, when you could be someone else?
Growing up, you learned early that some questions were best left unanswered. Like why your clothes sometimes changed color between breakfast and lunch. Or how your juicebox never seemed to run dry no matter how much you drank. Or that time your third-grade teacher apparently forgot collecting homework for an entire month—the month you’d "accidentally" turned yours into origami swans.
Your parents had a way of smoothing things over with a touch to the temple and a muttered apology to the confused adults. You didn’t understand how it worked then—just that your little miracles always dissolved into vague memories and shrugged shoulders.
Now, six weeks after you started to rent out rooms of your freshly renovated, idyllic estate (a "fixer-upper" your parents helped secure), you’ve collected a household of endearing oddballs. The kitchen lights hum overhead as you round the corner, just in time to see Cassie’s fingers hook into Naomi’s parted lips. Naomi’s eyes roll back, her knees buckling as Cassie pushes deeper, her forearm vanishing into Naomi’s throat with a wet schlorp. Naomi’s body convulses—hips jerking, breasts straining against her blouse—as Cassie’s head breaches her lips, blonde hair slick with spit.
For a grotesque second, they exist in tandem: Naomi’s mouth stretched around Cassie’s collarbones, Cassie’s grin visible inside Naomi’s gaping maw. Then Naomi’s body stills, her posture snapping straight with Cassie’s signature slouch. When “Naomi” licks her lips and speaks, it’s Cassie’s voice, layered under Naomi’s: “Oh, finally—she fights like a fucking—” The grin freezes. Dark eyes lock onto yours in the doorway.
“...Shit.” Naomi’s face twists into Cassie’s signature smirk. “Guess I’m doing this the hard way.”
She lunges—Naomi’s body moving with Cassie’s predatory grace—and clamps a hand over your mouth. Her other hand presses to your temple, fingers digging in like she’s trying to crack open a coconut. You feel her presence surge against your skull, a hot-cold ripple of energy… that splashes harmlessly against some invisible wall. Cassie jerks back, Naomi’s eyes widening. “What the fuck?!”
Naomi’s knees buckle as Cassie abandons her mid-lunge, her form dissolving into golden mist that surges toward your face. You cough as it floods your nostrils, thick as perfume—and then nothing. No takeover. No memory fog. Just Cassie’s frustrated scream inside your head, echoing like a TV left on in another room.
The mist recoils, solidifying back into Cassie’s petite frame as she stumbles against the fridge. “Okay, what are you?” she hisses, grabbing your wrist with surprising strength. She drags you down the hall, shooting a glance at Naomi’s still-dazed body. “We’re talking. Now. Before Sleeping Beauty wakes up and kills us both.”
Her bedroom door slams behind you, Cassie already pacing like a caged tiger. “So,” she says, spinning to face you. “You’re immune. Which means you’re either something new…” Her grin sharpens. “Or you’re exactly what I’ve been waiting for.”
