[Chapter 2]

The next thing I know, I'm inside a run-down house in the middle of the forest. I blink for a few seconds before a rush of knowledge appears inside my head. After a few seconds, the headache is gone, and I know who and where I am.

My name is Yuuji Takano, and I'm in a world where mythology is roaming free. Gods, angels, devils, and even demonic beasts exist in this world.

I don't know if my previous world had magical beasts, but if that overworked guy told the truth, Gods exist on Earth. So it was not too far-fetched to assume that Earth was also some kind of monster hiding in plain sight.

I shake my head and look around the run-down house given to me by my parents. Yuuji Takano is a pitiful young man. The Takano family is an Onmyouji family. All of the family is blessed with a mana core. Sadly, I don't have any of it.

Well, I have it. However, it was so small it can be considered non-existence. Even with the help of potions and rituals, it will not grow past Low-Class Onmyouji. What is a low class? Well, there are rankings that separate all beings in this world.

Non-Class -> Low-Class -> Middle-Class -> High-Class ->Ultimate-Class -> Special-Class.

The highest level is the ultimate class, and the special class is only for those who are too powerful to be classified as an ultimate class. I know a couple of people in this class, like Izanagi-sama, Amaterasu-sama, and Susanoo-sama.

However, there is an unofficial power scale called the Top Ten. They are the most powerful beings in the world, and the top two beings have never changed since the beginning.

Anyway, the reason why I'm in this place is because of my almost non-existence mana core. I'm an exile from the clan.

Lucky for me, the Takano clan forbids killing kin. Because of this, I'm given a piece of land far away in the northern part of Japan, somewhere inside Soya Subprefecture, Hokkaido, while they live in Kyoto.

While they are forbidden from killing me directly, sending me to a dangerous place is okay. They hope to kill me by sending me to this place. It is known that the northern part of Hokkaido is where wild magical beasts and demonic beasts lived.
